A proper de-shed is a double shampoo to lift the coat, a conditioning treatment to loosen the undercoat, then a patient brush-out with the right tools until the dead coat is out. It reduces shedding dramatically for four to six weeks. It does not stop shedding, and nobody can honestly promise that.
For older dogs — and Selcourt has plenty of long-standing families with long-standing dogs — staying home matters more than anything else about the appointment.
Every groom includes nails, ears, a full brush-out, cologne and a bandana at no extra charge.
